Acheron is one of Greece's most renowned rivers for rafting, with gentle currents that make it perfect for beginners and families. The 30-minute journey offers unique views in a lush natural environment. Our experienced guides ensure your safety and guide you every step of the way, while providing all necessary safety equipment.

Safe river,

The Acheron rafting stretch is spring-fed and shallow. Calm enough for children from age 6+, exciting enough to remember. Paddle through cool turquoise pools past limestone cliffs with an experienced guide beside you the whole way. Equipment is inspected daily. No prior experience needed.

    A short ride back, time to warm up and change.

  6. Free time by the river

    Stay for lunch or combine with another activity.

How long is the rafting trip?

The rafting experience lasts approximately 30 minutes on the water, with additional time for safety briefing and equipment setup, and ride back to starting point.

Is rafting on the Acheron safe for kids?

Yes! Our rafting tours are designed to be family-friendly and safe for children 6 years and older. We provide all safety equipment and experienced guides.

What should I bring for rafting?

We recommend bringing swimwear, a towel, and water shoes. All safety equipment including life jackets and helmets are provided.

What should I do with my phone or valuables?

Leave phones, wallets, and anything non-waterproof at our base before the activity. We have a secure area at the meeting point.

What if it rains?

Light rain is fine. In case of storms or unsafe water levels, we reschedule for free or refund fully.

Is it safe for non-swimmers?

Yes. Life jackets are mandatory — but you must inform your guide so they can pair you thoughtfully.
